The Democrats passed a bill laden with pork to pull out of Iraq. BackTalk does a simple word count to see how serious the Democrats are about the war. Number of words dealing with peanut storage costs? 101. Number of times Al-Qaeda is mentioned? 1.

Michelle Malkin meanwhile has a more detailed analysis of all the pork, complete with some choice quotes of senators who got into office on anti-pork bids.

Iraq the Model discusses how Iraq has become central to the war on terror: Al Qaeda’s main efforts are to win in Iraq.

And The Weekly Standard has an article pointing out how the Democratic claims about Iraq have been proven wrong in the months since the troop surge.

At this point it’s been proven countless times over that the Democrats are selling out our allies, our troops, and our future solely for the immediate political gain they can receive, and they know it too. They lost Vietnam and reaped political rewards at the expense of countless lives, and they hope to do the same in Iraq. Their actions are almost as evil as the terrorists they willingly support through their actions.
