Here’s the Right Way to Deal With Iran June 23, 2007

It turns out that five Iranian ships tried to capture some Australian soldiers several years ago, the same way they did the British soldiers just recently. The Australian soldiers, instead of caving in like the British did, aimed their machine guns at the Iranians and told them to go away using “highly colorful language.” Heh. Having been to Austraila, I can vouch for the Aussie vocabulary.
Anyhow, the confrontation lasted four hours, but the Iranians left without their hostages.
Does anyone else think that this might be applicable as a general lesson in foreign policy in the different tactics of how we to deal with Iran?
