George Piro, the FBI agent assigned as Saddam’s interrogator, is confirming the narrative about Iraqi WMDs this weekend. Essentially, Saddam had old WMDs (which we have found and recaptured), dormant but ready to restart weapons programs, and was deliberately hiding the fact that he didn’t have active WMDs or programs, trying to fool Iran. In other words, its yet another confirmation that Bush didn’t lie – even though WMDs were only a fraction of what the invasion of Iraq was about.

I don’t expect that this information will make any more difference to the “Bush Lied” crowd than any of the other evidence has.
