As we’ve always suspected. Note that Michelle Obama not only wrote that line into her speech, but spoke it twice. She meant what she said. And keep in mind that Obama is the candidate who won’t salute the flag because he’s ashamed of it.
All of this goes to show the typical blame America first mindset of so much of the left. The rest of us are proud of our country and its accomplishments in the past 20 years(and earlier) though.
Why does any of this matter for Obama? Perhaps the biggest reason is because his campaign is entirely about feelings, with no actual substance.

The Repub campaign is entirely about feelings. Mostly fear. Not many are buying into the whole idea that “The rest of us” really care about anything other than themselves.
Yes. That’s why the Democrats are the ones running on bringing the troops home immediately because the war can’t be won - even though the surge has been massively successful and every commander and analyst says we’re winning and that pulling out now would be disastrous. That’s why the Democrats are talking about how necessary it is to repeal the Bush tax cuts, even though they’ve been directly responsible for a massively successful economy for the past 7 year, and nearly every economist and businessman thinks that would be an awful idea. That’s why the Democrats keep on talking about punishing “rich executives”, “Big Oil”, “Big Pharma”, and any other large industry, even though every tax increase on those companies simply pushes the tax onto consumers and does nothing except for get populist votes and put more money into the hands of government to waste.
There is a faction of the Republican party that can be populist too, I admit, but most of the issues that Republicans are populist on they are also federalists on.

Maybe these people should consider the words of Pat Paulson who once or twice ran for president keeping barry hip-hop in mind “I think I’m a pretty good candidate because…..I’ve been consistently vague on all issues and I’m continuing to make promises that I’ll be unable to fulfill”.
