Congress wants to pass another stimulus bill. Wonderful.

Look, if you want to stimulate our economy, stop encouraging businesses and jobs to go overseas by taxing companies. People are worried about China passing us, and with decent reason. However, China’s growth is merely a projection of relative GDP growth percentages. You want to keep the U.S. number one for longer? Encourage massive economic growth. It can be done – there are plenty of examples in the world: free trade, and above all, lower corporate taxes (or even eliminate them!) and businesses will come back into our country, and our economy will boom. And no, taxing corporations is not taxing “the man” or anything like that. Corporations simply pass their taxes on to their customers, which are Americans as ordinary as you and I.

If I can’t persuade you, perhaps hundreds of concerned economists can. The real tragedy, of course, is that beyond just who’s president, we need a congress that understands these realities as well.
