From Nancy Pelosi’s mouth herself. Not that you can’t figure this out from liberals’ stances on abortion, the environment, or, heck, self defense.

Notice how directly people become the problem if you get government large enough, whereas if it was proportionately smaller, the unique value each individual contributed to society would outweigh their cost of management for government?

Both the RIAA and MPAA insist that online distribution hurts sales, and that hurts the artists they represent. And yet, every time artists bypass the organizations and release their content online the artists receive a huge increase in sales, usually dwarfing profits they’ve made by any other distribution method. Here’s another case demonstrating that very thing.

Just another sign that the bailout just represents one final confirmation that government and politics is the new dominant, recession proof industry.

The first embryonic stem cell FDA trial just commenced. Supposedly a “watershed moment” for medical technology, I’ll point out that all of the amazing medical treatments they’ve derived with stem cells have been other, more useful types of cells (why more useful? Because the other types of stem cells don’t turn into cancerous masses, and also don’t need to even be screened for rejection, since they don’t get rejected). Sure, enough research can make embryonic stem cells useful too, but adult and placental stem cells can do everything embryonic stem cells can do, more easily, and without controversy. The whole reason embryonic stem cell research receives so much attention is because it can be used as a political hammer against the right.

Reagan’s inauguration was apparently a bit more of an historic moment.

The Lies Of The Inauguration…

The music was recorded a couple days earlier, and the press just helped fake it being played at his inauguration.

Yet another area where Obama’s following Bush’s position now that he’s actualy seen the facts for himself.

Well, at least stimulus spending that’s not for white males and can’t promise a single job for its $1 Trillion price tag, right?

But don’t worry, we got into this mess by spending too much, borrowing with abandon, and acting like the bills would never come due, so spending more, borrowing more, and acting like the bills will never come due is sure to get us out again, definitely.

Elon Musk Is A Cool Guy

GQ has a fun piece on him here. Imagine how much better it would be for our society if he and other transformative inventers/entreprenuers where the emulated heroes of our country, rather than the worship Obama has been receiving?

He’s issued a couple executive orders and memorandums which should improve access to his administration.

Geithner, despite his tax cheating, did get approved today. He blamed his tax cheating on Turbotax, but they deny responsibility, with evidence to back themselves up.

Obama will get to keep his Blackberry, and will also get a Sectera to use for official business. Anything that helps the President communicate more effectively, and stay more in touch with the real world can only be a good thing.

The one for Medal of Honor recipients

Hillary just got confirmed, despite the fact that she is ineligible under the current rules.

Yes, the rule seemed rather trivial in this case, but that doesn’t mean we should just ignore it–we should fix it.

Thank You, President Bush

The Jerusalem Post has a thank you for President Bush that I can definitely get behind.

Oh, Of Course It’s Global Warming

A huge ice shelf is about to break off in Antarctica. Check out the article, which is saying that of course it’s breaking off due to global warming. It doesn’t have anything to do with Antarctica’s record breaking amounts of ice the past few winters…

Oh wait…they didn’t.

They’re aiming for a price point of $275,000 spent per job created. And that’s if they meet their goals.

As is anyone else who’s getting similarly sucked into Obama worship, as in this creepy video. If you didn’t think before that the left religiously worshipped Obama, government, and environmental ideals, are you convinced now?

Why Is Bush Hated So Much?

Besides the “hip” factor? Because he won Iraq. And the other successes he had that made so much of the country bite their words.
