Because Sudan is a better ally and country, right? I mean, at least they’re not Jews…

The judicial philosophy of Obama’s first nominee. Typical ACLU hypocrite. The best part is knowing that successfully nominated judges affect our court system for decades.

The U.S. government is now going to back GM car warranties. Hello nationalization.

Look for the upcoming squeeze on the non-government backed auto manufacturers. Meanwhile, how long until consumers are pressured to buy the P.O.S. vehicles GM puts out?

Progressive Corporatism. It’s worked so well the times it’s been tried before. And it’s not like government interference in our market has anything to do with the current situation, right? Right?

Update: Oh look! Obama just fired the CEO of a prominent American company.

It Must Be Racism

Yet another disaster Obama is ignoring. This means the president hates the race of the people who live in that area, right?

Obama says AIG was in such dire financial straights because of “recklessness and greed.” And yet he’s hiring one former AIG executive to his task force on tax reform. Yeah.

Meanwhile, what are the chances that Obama’s priorities for reforming our tax code actually have anything to do with how convoluted and business unfriendly the tax code is, as opposed to his concepts of social justice and fairness.

Free the terrorists from Gitmo into the U.S., then give them welfare.

What could go wrong? Just like the rest of the welfare populace, if we subsidize them they’ll magically become productive and fiscally prudent members of society, when they never were before. In this case they’ll also become peaceful!

Lights on! (H/t Transterrestrial, who has some good comments, as well).

Maybe if enough people vote against the initiative people will pay some attention to the blatant dishonesty of the global warming environmentalists, such as the willingness to blame everything (such as flooding in North Dakota caused by record cold) on man made global warming, opposition to practically all energy sources such as nuclear or coal to liquid that could actually help our economy (and wealthy people are the only ones who have the luxury to worry about the environment), and a willingnes (even an eagerness, oftentimes) to make things worse for people just for the sake of making something “green”.

When environmentalists actually care about helping the environment, and paying attention to scientific data, then I’ll start listening to them. Of course, that would first require them to realize they’re following a religion.

Update: Michelle Malkin has the promo video for Human Achievement Hour.

Rahm Emmanual was one of the “asleep at the wheel” board members who received $320k from Freddie Mac while steering it into the ground.

Why isn’t this and all the other failure the Democrats are making us suffer headline news that the media won’t let lie?

The solar panels in Denver that Barack and Biden celebrated when they signed the stimulus bill will take 110 years to pay off – if they even last that long.

This is the kind of economic thinking that the Democrats are using? Yeah, we’re screwed…

I sure wish someone gave this speech to the Democrats.

Rather than someone far, far to the left of the rest of America, who dresses in moderate sheep’s clothing? (How could you, by now?)

Than why is he nominating someone who want to move past the Constitution and American sovereignty in America’s courts as the legal advisor to the State Department?

Engram talks about some of the attitudes (from Europe) about abolishing the death penalty in New Mexico.

See, the thing is that the death penalty opponents he’s discussing would rather have any number of innocent people killed by criminals than a single guilty person killed by the state.

It took us a couple of days because I like to know what I’m talking about before I speak.”

Why is it that the unregulated institutes are the ones being asked to bail out the regulated ones?

All of the blame about lack of regulation is just theater to help the left expand government even more intrusively into the market.

Awesome!

For those in tune with internet memes, and politics.

Liberal Fascism On Display

The House just passed the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act, mandating “volunteering”. Once again, it is the left that actually has the strongest fascist tendencies, even though they’ve been denouncing the right as fascist, especially over the past 8 years.

And to anyone who says that this isn’t at all similar to the Hitler Youth, you’re entirely ignoring the very same things that Roosevelt did mirroring Hitler.

Tourists Back In Iraq

No thanks to the Democrats.

It’s finally getting states to sell off public infrastructure to private management.

Notice what the opposition to such sales is worried about: labor. They also say they’re worried about safety, but considering how badly our country is doing managing its public infrastructure, that’s laughable. There’s this whole great privatization technique that can happen for public infrastructure with a proven track record of improving safety, generating revenue for the state, and generating local economic activity (even improving traffic flow!), and it’s being held up by the same people who think Detroit is the ideal model of the future.

In so many ways.

The media should resign. Or actually start covering events outside of their political desires.
