And it doesn’t look so good. At least we’ll be able to show once more whether government intervention prolongs the situation, as so many economists suspect occurred during the great depression. Not that that will change anything – we’ve known for ages that protectionism and high corporate taxes hurt the economy, and Democrats are still gung ho about both.

Don’t you wish that policy wasn’t implemented so strongly at a Federal level, so different states could actually experiment with different effects from different policies, and at least some states could climb out of our economic woes? That’s the system our founding fathers intended, and we’ve pretty much gone directly against their wishes.

A Memo To The Left

Now, if only we could get them to read it. It seems like fairly sound logic to me.

We Told You So

But you, and the American Jewish community, didn’t listen. Now you’re starting to realize you’ve been had.

You could look across the border at Canada, where they’ve had this sort of thing for awhile – or you could simply take a look at what certain people highly involved with the current administration have already done for healthcare.

If the Republicans had any brains they would be flying Dontae Adams around city to city and holding rallies featuring him at every stop.

Congress is doing what Obama won’t, and condemning the Iranian regime’s crackdown, which adds us to the list of nations (France, Germany, and Canada) that have spoken up. As Paul Wolfowitz points out, this is America, land of the free. No comment is itself a statement – and a sick joke, coming from us.

H/t Neal Boortz.

Once Upon A Time In America…yeah, this essay is about how I feel, as well.

According to the DOD.

As they do every summer. Instapundit notes that there’s a lot less attention being paid to this this year. That’s becuase energy legislation is going to be next week. Right now it’s health care. Somehow, that tactic of not drilling our own oil fields, and raising taxes on energy companies keeps giving us higher energy prices each summer. Clearly we need to stop them from drilling any further, and tax those evil gross profit margins even further.

As Popular Science points out, this should not only speed things up, but save us the use of a staggeringly large number of rats. I bet very few researchers will be sorry to see them go from the field of research.

A new study shows once again that society gets more benefits with weaker copyrights, rather than the absurdly long rights we guarantee currently. Even the artists benefit if they arrange their business off of promotable events, such as concerts.

Now if only we could get Congress to pay more attention to what’s right in this case, rather than what the lobbyists are going for. Although, come to think of it, there are much bigger issues I wish Congress would try and do the right thing for society for than copyright…

Obama’s now trying to claim that the Inspector he fired was “confused” and “disoriented” which was why he no longer had faith in his ability to continue as an Inspector General for the U.S.

Sure, Obama. That’s pretty weak, especially since eyewitnesses disagree with the assessment, and the main complaints were from the Obama buddies that Walpin was investigating.

Was Hillary also confused and disoriented?

And the Chinese. It’s not hard to think of legitimate uses for complete internet anonymity in all directions.

It’s not like it’s hard to spot

Because you can’t even pretend to call ABC journalists anymore. Heck, or most of the other stations, frankly. But giving Obama free prime time coverage to pitch his health care to America, while denying any opposition viewpoint? What’s the appropriate term to describe the fascist relation they’re willingly embracing (i.e. they’re not part of the official government, but for all intents and purposes, they’re another government organization now)?

While they’re covering health care, do you think they’ll give any voice to what the doctors, even in his hometown, think?

One stood with and for the Democracy activists. How many of those revolutions wouldn’t have happened without him?

The other doesn’t want the world to see us as meddling.

When the left said they were worried about the rest of the world no longer respecting us, I now know who’s opinions they were worried about. And I’ll say a big “Screw You” to just about all of those tyrants and regime sympathizers.

The Obama administration is moving to ban some 80% of knives.

If the left had their way we would all be eating local-sourced, organic tofu with sporks.

Based on the details of the contract that the Navy issued.

And I’m not talking about race. I’m talking about things like property rights and free speech.

Iran Watch

Man, everything is really happening in Iran. Massive, courageous protests yesterday, with the regime cracking down, and opening fire (with live ammunition) on the protestors. View full article »
