One of them is, by his own admission. The other isn’t, by his own history.

I guess he just couldn’t resist. When asked about Professor Gates’ arrest he decided to blame the Cambridge police for “acting stupidly”, even though it’s becoming increasingly obvious that the cops’ side of the story was the right one (if it wasn’t to any of you from the beginning).

Once we get to orbit, how do we get anywhere else?

Clearer and clearer every day to the rest of America. Too bad we had to give Democrats (and shame on the big-government Republicans for operating along similar principles!) so much power for people to start figuring it out. Will we ever be able to get our country back anywhere near to the free, federalist society it was designed as?

One more Bush policy he denounced that he now embraces.

During the campaign, of course.

Wired has an article on the new frontier of personal submarines that seems to be opening up. This is a field I’ve definitely been keeping an eye on, although I want one of the luxury submarine yachts that the article doesn’t mention. Maybe these personal watercraft will lower the price of the larger submarines.

As he speaks harshly about the way it’s currently being run and managed. Gingrich was the one who invented the entire concept of the department. Let him run it, and run the simulations he wants that would actually allow the department to be practiced for when real disasters do strike.

I just received a notice from the Division of Insurance in Massachusetts that I failed to attend the hearing scheduled for June 19th, 2009, and so my case was dismissed (My insurance rates were set to go up from a weather related accident in February unless I successfully appealed that the event was indeed weather related).

I sure didn’t show up – because I never received notice of when the hearing was scheduled! In fact, I received a letter in March saying my insurance appeal was scheduled to be scheduled in March of 2010. Meanwhile they hold a court hearing without telling me, and then dismiss my case because I never showed up. Bullsh!t. View full article »

Just like the rest of this summer, there are record low temperatures across the country. Of course, the solar scientists have been saying for years that the recent warm weather we’ve seen in previous years, and the current cooler weather (which will likely continue for several more years) is exactly what they expected to see from the unusual current solar activity. But making correct scientific predictions isn’t as newsworthy or politically exciting as the religion of anthropogenic global warming that Al Gore and the liberals (hence the media) espouse, so why should anyone pay attention to them?

Developing standards to measure gender. Because it’s important stuff for the federal government to know, obviously.

Bloodthirsty Liberal is pointing out several interesting news items pertaining to the Palestinians. Notice that they’re getting their citizenship revoked in Jordan – where they make up 70% of the population, just so that they can continue to claim that they’re displaced by the Israelis. For yet another generation. Making them continue to be the only people group in the world that claims refugee status for its children and grandchildren from here to eternity.

Obama is increasing troops to Afghanistan, and yet no one seems to be noticing. Where are all of the anti-war protesters on the streets? Where are all of the Gitmo detainee, war is not the answer types? Where are the dozens of reporters covering all five anti-war protesters?

Because he could still do much to prevent it. If he gets his tongue out of Chavez’s @$$ and actually makes a stand for law and democracy, that is. Too bad he seems to have the usual liberal obsession for fascist dictators.

The Democrat’s rejection of our free and Democratic allies throughout South and Central America, and their embrace of tyrants and would-be tyrants is one of the most shameful theme of activities they’ve been involved with recently, second only to their wholesale attempts to abandon the Iraqi people to slaughter merely to prove Bush wrong.

Here’s a wealth of information on the subjects, here and here.

Either of these would be a crushing blow to the economy. Both would be a disaster.

Of course. Funding gets delegated out preferentially to institutions that represent minorities better.

Obama is no post-partisan. Of course, plenty of us were pointing that out during the entire campaign: he had one of the most partisan records as a Senator.

Okay, I’m going to have to subscribe to that.

Update: It’s a hoax, of course. But whoever is doing it uses real North Korean News Department headlines. Hilarious.

Oh, right. It’s not a big deal when a Democrat says something racist.

And the feasibility and logistics of building one. We could build one today, economically.
