Speaking Truth To Corrupt Power

Netanyahu’s speech at the U.N.

Apparently there’s one charity our President believes in giving to: Libya’s.

Congratulations, SpaceX

As their DragonEye performs as expected.

The Tactics Of The Left

I’m not even going to try to distinguish between the media and the Democrats anymore. They’re one and the same, and just as slanderous and dishonest as each other, and with the same purpose. Ignoring the ACORN news, here’s a brief summary of some of what they’ve been doing the past couple of months illustrating my point. View full article »

Also known as the MSM. They’re hopelessly biased, and Americans know it. While they could embrace the new media age, that would mean embracing transparency, and confronting their own bias in the process.

Instead, they thrash about, longing for regimes like China where “hate” isn’t allowed, utterly stunned and disoriented over the fact that “a rodeo clown and two kids from High School Musical 3″ are putting them to utter shame, because they’ve gotten so bad that that’s all it takes.

The corrupt bastards are being exposed, and going down.

Over here. How about the Fairtax? It would drastically improve our economy, largely eliminate tax evasion, turn America into a tax haven that businesses moved into, give Americans their paychecks back, eliminate all of the tax lobbying and the corruption that goes with it, completely untax the poor…

Please, please take the time to suggest the Fairtax to the Whitehouse – perhaps if we get enough momentum we can actually get some positive response!

Sleep deprivation may help cause Alzheimer’s.

Do you know how few people actually manage to get the sleep they need? Maybe this study will help change that.

That song that the school kids were being taught to sing about Obama

It’s lyrics are lifted from a song about Jesus. So yes, Liberals are literally worshiping Obama, and Democratic politics. Which also means that the demonizing of their political opponents that takes place is also probably religious. If you’re looking for a source to all of the political polarization this country has experienced in the past several decades, politics as religion is a good #1 candidate. And I would also point out that as far as totalitarian tendencies go, just about all tyrants and despots make sure to have a cult of personality installed about themselves – and the left has put up a cult of personality about all of their leaders for a long time. I’m not saying they’re totalitarian or despotic yet, but they’ve certainly got some impulses in that direction that they’re indulging in.

Especially with our healthcare.

Here’s a trio of stories that demonstrate the structural problems of government run systems and show that, even when you have politicians who believe in big government (such as the Dems) running things, it just doesn’t work.

(Breaking Copyright Law)^2

A professor is illegally distributing versions of a copyrighted law about copyright law.

I hope he gets his day in court, public documents hould be freely distributable, and it won’t happen until he can get it overturned.

One of the big stories I’ve been trying to keep track of and just haven’t had time to blog about until now is Honduras vs. Zelaya and Obama – a story that just keeps going on and getting more interesting. While most of the press (can’t let anyone realize how much Obama’s helping prop up a tyrant), and even the blogosphere has let the story go relatively unmentioned, this is one story that I Think Link has stayed on top of. So what notable things have happened since I posted last on the subject?

Well, Obama started revoking Honduran visas, and the Honduran government has demanded the restoration of Illinois’ governor Rod Blagojevich – because that’s how absurd Obama’s demands are. Amazing the thugs that Obama will let in the country, while he attempts to punish a Democracy following it’s own rightful laws. It kind of makes Obama’s apologies for U.S. villainy self fulfilling, doesn’t it? At least our neighbor still has some spine to stand for human rights. Meanwhile, the other democracies of our hemisphere are taking notice, and acting accordingly.

What else? well, we’re also apparently raiding Honduras consulates. Wonderful.

Meanwhile, Zelaya’s managed to make it back into Honduras, and is hiding in the Brazilian embassy raving like an idiotand probably trying to recover his embezzled moneywhile his supporters ransack the capital.

Obama, of course, has declared that he won’t recognize the next Honduras election to appoint Zelaya’s successor, even though Zelaya should have been out by a similar election very shortly. Amazing.

Is this the type of Smart Diplomacy Obama promised us?

Can you read it? I can’t. I don’t think they can either – although they should.

No More Presumption of Innocence

Yet another case where a traffic camera auto-ticketed someone who had to go to the media to get enough attention to get the charges reversed.

That’s just how traffic laws work in our country, unfortunately.

TaxProf points to a study listing the friendliness of different states to businesses. Notice that all of the worst states went Democratic.

Now notice that all of the numbers used to piece together the business climate in each state are absolutely dwarfed by the federal numbers – and see if you can figure out why so many companies are offshoring. How hard is it to figure out that the U.S. economy would be doing significantly better if we increased the friendliness of our country to businesses?

Because if they published it, people would start trying to find errors in it, and they couldn’t allow that. (h/t I Think Link)

Also in climate news: The sun is entering a solar minimum not seen since the 17th century. Just another strong piece of evidence for the solar scientists who accurately predicted the current weather, along with the warm weather the past several years.

The “safe schools” czar. Bet you didn’t even know about that one, right?

The Latest In Politics As Religion

Once again we see just how much the left views our schools as the temples of their religious worship of liberal politics and politicians.

Update: “They understand that there is a little bit of Barack Obama in all of us.”

When government attempts to control industry, but not own it.

Unsurprisingly, Deval Patrick and Barack Obama are two of the largest practitioners of the philosophy.

Indefinite suspension without trial.

There is one way Obama could regain the trust of the American people on health care.
