Just look at Massachusetts, my home state. Employers are being incentivized to drop their health care plans, pushing the expense onto the state. Insurance has not only gotten pricier, but socialist price controls have cost the insurers hundreds of millions of dollars. The major burden on the industry was never the uninsured, most of whom are healthy twenty-somethings, that the bill claimed to solve; the major expense was always medicare and medicaid, and the bill only makes those expenses even worse.

That’s pretty much the only way to describe the series of stories which continue to unfold in blogs and behind the scenes, and which are being deliberately, willfully ignored by the media – they would rather apologize than actually cover a story of such atrocious behavior by the Democrats. (Heck, they won’t report on any other Democrat vote fraud, so why this?)
What is the story in question? It started out as a story of voter intimidation from (of course) radical leftists: The New Black Panther Party openly admitting to stationing members outside the polls, members who are certified Democrat poll watchers who’s interests include “killing crakkkas”. But then the Justice department ignored the incident – and in fact spiked the investigation. Since then we’ve learned of all sorts of other incidents regarding our electoral system, such as incidents where higher officials have refused to remove dead voters from the rolls. And we’ve had a former member of the Justice Department come forward and make the claim that the official policy is not to enforce any incidents which are against minorities – and multiple officials have corroborated that claim. Our Justice Department is deliberately being twisted to ignore/encourage vote fraud and intimidation from the left, and only persecute those crimes which fit the political agenda.
Heads should roll for this sort of crime. I wish all success to the back channels trying to restore some justice to this case – and may any official who knew even the slightest bit about this case receive the full measure of justice due him.

The one who Breitbart had film of openly bragging to the NAACP on stage about how she discriminated racially. And he promises more videos. The NAACP has issued a statement condemning her words and actions – isn’t it funny that they didn’t do so until the discrimination was made public? In fact, at the time, they seemed quite happy with the discrimination. That right there tells you more about their feelings on race and discrimination more clearly than any statement they could ever make.
It’s funny how with all the left-wing concern over right wing conspiracies among republicans, oil companies, Jews, etc…it’s actually on the left (projection, maybe?) that we see political collusion. Case in point: Journolist.
For some time bloggers have been wondering what got discussed on Journolist, a mailing list that so many prominent reporters (Time, Huffington Post, Washington Post, Baltimore Sun…) and left-wing pols seemed to be part of. Well, now we know that they actually did collude to manipulate the dialog at least once – deciding to kill the Reverand Wright stories by calling his opponents racist as a way to get back at Obama’s enemies and their anger at how he was being treated (more here). This is exactly why the right mocks the MSM as being “state-run”.
Keep in mind these are the “objective” journalists who scoff at Fox news as being biased. As Breitbart points out, at least the journalists at Pravda weren’t such insufferable a–holes.
Seem to have quite a few sexual assault cases the media is trying to keep quiet.
Not a surprise to me, considering the view that sort of branch of Islam takes on human rights, women, and respecting other cultures and their citizenry.

Just think about all the man-hours of new paperwork this is going to cost the country.
Which side of the political spectrum is going to fight for your rights?
If you’re like most of the residents in Massachusetts, you think that the left, and the side of big government is the side that cares about your rights – pretty much solely because that’s the side that wants to not only mandate that abortions be available and legal, but subsidize them at taxpayer expense, and ensure that you can stick scissors in the head of “a fetus” even during the process of giving birth.
Well, once again we see that, apart from abortion, liberal states are the first, and fight the hardest, to restrict just about every other right – such as free speech online.
It’s like watching a train wreck, in super slow motion. Meanwhile, the employees of the state are all giving themselves raises.
This isn’t going to end well. And the situation in Illinois just mirrors where the Democrats (with occasional help from Republicans) are taking so many other states of our country – as well as the Federal government itself.

And you wonder why our economy is doing badly under Democratic leadership.
The IRS says that Obamacare opponents were right: they need to grow massively to be able to enforce the Obamacare mandate.
Blackouts and long term power shortages. Rather than let the market distribute resources efficiently, they’re trying to change things themselves, and as always – failing.
Isn’t this always the case? Kagan is opposed to military recruitment on campuses, supposedly because of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, which discriminates against homosexuals. That the policy was mandated by congress and not the military’s idea always seems to be glossed over by the left, but anyway: at the same time, Kagan promoted Sharia, even allowing advocacy for the death of homosexuals, and all sorts of limitations on women’s liberty.
So once again we’re dealing with a liberal who makes absolutely no stand on human rights and who actually just cares about vilifying her political opponents and allying with anyone else who can help do the same – regardless of their take on human rights.
Now we really know who the racists are.
