While the stated aim of wikileaks’ document drops is to undermine the Iraq war effort (several years out of fashion, by the way, guys. If you were actively doing so a couple of years ago you could have been working side-by-side with Obama, Reid, and Pelosi), it looks like they’ve done serious damage to the main claim the left uses against the entire war: that the entire supposed reason for us going into Iraq was for WMDs, and none were ever found. Of course, this has been demonstrably false for years – not only were WMDs only ever one of many arguments for going into Iraq, but we’ve found confirmation of Iraqi WMDs and WMD programs again, and again, and again, and again…Still, it’s nice to see an anti-war claim that finally admits (even if only accidentally) just how many WMDs were found. It also admits that the claims of the death toll were highly exaggerated and perpetrated by the media to make the U.S. look worse, something everyone on the right knew. And it also reveals that yes, Iran was involved the whole time – and not he partner for peace many Democrats claimed it could be.
Meanwhile, Bush’s memoirs have revealed even more about WMDs and WMD development in the Iraq w.
And a year of re-education in a labor camp.
By the way, George Soros, who funds so much of the left, thinks that China’s Government is doing a better job than ours.
Worth knowing about. Despite various Democrat claims, our guns aren’t the problemĀ – although our drugs certainly are. And yes, securing our borders would help protect our citizenry.
In an easy video – although as he points out, it’s not hard to explain. Simply put, Arabs/Muslims want Israel, and Jews, dead – and are willing to settle for nothing less. They always have, and always have played on Western sensibilities to further that goal, as Arafat did. They will find any excuse to punish anyone Jewish – even children. They will also embezzle every dollar they receive for that purpose.
Here are several more horror stories. And stupidity. There’s also the mother of all roundups right here – which also notes that Muslim women don’t get pat-downs from the TSA, and other idiotic inconsistencies. Speaking of which – it doesn’t seem like the TSA has ever turned anyone down from the airport after scanning them, and not only is the extra security dumb, it causes more damage than it prevents. As some point out, the TSA doesn’t seem to be doing anything against anyone except for people who dislike the TSA’s overfriendliness.
Oh yes, by the way, the TSA doesn’t do any screening of their employees. This wonderful fellow was just arrested on assault and rape charges against a 14 year old.
Meanwhile, many lawmakers and airports are starting to realize how sick and tired Americans are of all of this, and take action.
As benevolent as the current British monarchy is, it’s still a violation of the very principles of equality, and thus odoriferous.
Walk through their security lines in a speedo. Or naked.
Excellent. We have the technology now that state granted monopolies of spectrum are just bad.
Good. There’s no good reason that government should be funding any domestic media station.
Disabling drivers’ cell phones while driving.
Yes, many drivers are worse while using cell-phones. But not all are. And not all uses of cell phones while driving make drivers worse.
A 3-year-old gets handled by security, and one passenger asks not to have his junk touched (prompting the TSA to begin investigating him and perhaps fining him $11,000), and suddenly this is an issue that everyone seems to be aware of. We see that the TSA itself understands it’s a complete violation of 4th amendment rights, and that some of them see the entire issue funny. But they’re still fully intent on using 3-d bodyscanners that image you naked (and, oh yeah, the images will get occasionally leaked on to the internet, of course) and won’t make you any safer, putting their hands down your pants if they decide to, and they’ll legally harass you after you leave the airport if you don’t comply. And those who advocate for how wonderful this whole system is and how it’s just the government showing its love of course aren’t subject to any of these rules. It’d be much more tolerable if they were.
Airports could theoretically opt-out of the TSA…but there’s likely reasons they don’t wish to.
A whole bunch of people are advocating for a national pat-down boycott. We’ll see how that plays out.
And while Instapundit points out the irony of all of those who claimed this was the reason to vote against McCain, I think this is a good thing – as I always thought it was. We’re still in Germany, and our presence there has helped ensure stability in that part of the region and closer ties with the nation. I see no reason why that same logic shouldn’t work in Iraq as well.
That’s just awful. Especially as she’s one of the pork leaders among Republicans.
Personally, I think the raw food movement is silly – but I also think that government shouldn’t be involved, especially to this excessive amount.
