Right in time – the opposition party is just about to be seated in the legislature. And he plans on using his power to continue his socialist power consolidation.

Transterrestrial points out that Belarus is also cracking down.

The fall of the wall wasn’t the defeat of the evil that is socialism, it was just a moderate setback.

And The Latest Census Data Is Out

Oh look, people don’t like living in blue states, and do like living in the red ones. Yes, taxes and nanny-state regulations do have real consequences on peoples’ behavior.

Meanwhile, Michael Graham is looking forward to being amused by how twisted Massachusetts redraws it’s electoral districts. Actually, gerrymandering is one thing both parties are pretty good at.

And Now We Know

Obama new full well which side of things he was on in Honduras, but he wanted to cozy up to Chavez.

Islam’s Jihad Problem

There are constant calls in the west to find the “root causes” of terrorism, and try and address them. Oh, it must be poverty, or illiteracy, or unemployment. These views are trivially proved wrong simply by looking at the demographics of the worst terrorists – they’re so often well educated, financially successful individuals.

Unfortunately, jihadist terrorism (like so many of Islam’s problems) is not some isolated problem to a few fringe religious extremists, as so many wish to pretend. It never was. Jihad and religious world dominance is a significant goal of mainstream Islam. And until we recognize and confront the problem, it will only get worse. View full article »

Canceling Christmas

The Red Cross in Britain won’t allow any religious symbols to be shown in their drives this time of year – it’s too offensive to Muslims.

How else would she have stopped him?

Meanwhile, supporting the second amendment is apparently grounds for the police to treat you with all the hostility they can. Well actually, not all the hostility – that’s reserved for anyone who films cops behaving badly with their cellphone. Cellphone cameras are apparently the tools of hate crimes.

Even though 99% of the population believes in some sort of god.

Well of course: Liberalism is its own religion. That’s plain enough if you live in a blue state.

Her family tried to kill her for dating a Hindu.

But they’ll sue anyone whoever says so. Hey, I’m sure that socialism will work out so much better here though.

The Fight Against Pork

Even after such an overhaul of an election, it seems only a sizable fraction of politicians got the message – and the rest almost certainly heard it, but are choosing to ignore it. Tea Partiers and their sympathizers care about nothing except for fiscal sobriety. America, just like so many European countries, is in deep trouble, and while there are lots of deeper financial reforms we could take, cutting the earmarks and pork is step one – because it shows that politicians are actually looking to stop enriching themselves and their political allies at the expense of the rest of us.

Many Republicans, and even some Democrats, are finally starting to understand just how frustrated most Americans are. And some, like McConnell, are slowly being convinced to give up their earmarking ways, but still not even enough Republicans are committed to the fight against pork to get a ban on earmarks through – although at least the Senate’s pork-filled omnibus bill got defeated. Maybe the earmark ban will go through after the lame duck session ends – but likely not. If not, we’ll continue to oust entire majorities until the politicians understand the situation. Some of them do. And we’re not fooled by politicians such as Obama and Cornyn who only seem to be fiscally responsible when it suits them.

So what was in that omnibus bill? Massive amounts of pork ($575 million per page), including quite a bit from Republicans – even though Democrats were literally 50 times worse. Republican Murkowski was going to pay her friends back 10 to 1. One Democrat Senator, Emanuel Cleaver, had a $48 Billion earmark to a personal friend – which he now denies doing, even though he still boasts of it on his website. Maybe the new Congress will stop bills like this. Maybe.

A bank fought back against Fed officials who claimed it had to remove holiday paraphernalia that included Christian Christmas expressions and displays. And won.

Doesn’t the Fed have an economy-melting financial crisis that should be a bit higher priority to deal with right now?

Junk science.

They hate any sort of scientific progress, and dream of a utopian human-free world.

Appointed by Clinton. And glossed over by the press.

The Obama administration purchased the top Google link for “Obamacare”.

My suggestion: let’s all switch to calling it the “Socialized Healthcare Bill” and see if Obama uses taxpayer money to buy that link as well. Heck, he’s already switched from calling the “Individual Mandate” to the “Individual Responsibility”.

They’ve finally received their extremely harsh French justice: up to 18 years in prison.

He told them to hold his beer, and he dived right in the water after it.

He’s currently in the hospital recovering from alcohol poisoning.

Running Wind Power On Pork

The wind industry is warning that without more subsidies they’ll have to start laying off employees.

Meanwhile, the Obama administration has been working with wind lobbyists to hide the failures of green energy in stimulating economies, and in Europe. That’s the care the Obama administration has for the economy: ideology first, economy second.

Another adult stem cell breakthrough.
