NASA, NOAA, and the British MET office all lied – again.

Obviously they’re rioting and protesting right now – you can see links about that all over the place. Instead, here’s what you should care about: Egyptians see us as supporters of the regime, fundamentally against their liberty. George Bush made a stand for Democracy, and liberals around the world hated him for it – but now we know, once again, that he was right.
Also worth mentioning is where Egypt seems to be going. As others have noted, while the pro-democracy factions are certainly helping destabilize Mubarak’s regime, the best organized faction usually is the one that determines the next government – and the best organized faction is the Muslim Brotherhood. And they’re not pro-democracy. Instead Egypt is likely to continue their direction towards sharia and oppression. Oh, and there are also significant Marxist components among the protesters, as well.
In the two years they’ve been working for him.
Well, he wouldn’t want to associate himself with so many tax dodgers.
And likely with spankings: 3-year-olds out of control are more likely to have problems for the rest of their lives.
So parents: disciplining your kids is for their own sake.
Related: Texas is doing better than everyone else, and they got less stimulus money per capita than anyone. When will the left admit the obvious? Keynesian economics don’t work in the real world, they never have, and socialist models (whether communist with government ownership, or just fascist with government control via regulation) of high taxes and regulation don’t work. The way to fix the economy is to let the economy run without trying to control every aspect of it.
Of course, we don’t know what the outcome of those freedom seekers will be. They still have to get to the other side of the J curve…
Apparently it didn’t just stop at 222, there have now been 729 waivers granted. And look at the list of recipients. Well, I’m glad that the waivers are one of the first things the new Congress is investigating.
Meanwhile, here are the details left unsaid about the stories Obama mentioned during his SOTU.
Sputnik was big because it meant the country was in danger. The U.S. Budget deficit is passing $1.5 Trillion this year. The country is again in danger, and little spending freezes are not enough – especially as you’ve already spent all the biggest items you wanted to pass anyway.
Nothing like impending death to motivate you – but it’s also an awesome story about how incredible our engineering capabilities have gotten.
Michelle Malkin has a follow-up column to the recent abortion horror uncovered in Philadelphia recently, pointing out how we seem to repeatedly discover incidents like this around the country, which I find especially telling. It’s definitely the case that many of the activists that fight against the pro-life side are so focused on supporting abortion that, whether they mean to or not, they’re not just pro-choice, but pro-abortion, and they’re the very ones who fight hardest to prevent the regulations that would stop travesties like this.
Supposedly a movement in Houston is doing just that. I’ll believe it when I see the convictions – the lack of convictions in the face of clear evidence is the major problem, I think.
