A proposed oil pipeline through the middle of the country would create 20,000 jobs, and help gas prices. And of course the left is opposed to it. Why?
Let’s see, vindictively going after Texas, and pretty much punishing every other state along the way. Democrats (and their media) think that more regulations somehow help the economy, while the rest of us realize just how expensive this all is, while producing nothing.
In addition to regulations for the completely normal and plant-growing carbon dioxide, the EPA is also trying to increase ozone regulations, which actually can cause health problems for people. This would be good, except that we’ve already lowered ozone emissions to quite safe levels, and all that’s going on right now is us killing more jobs. Great.
Is anyone (except for the liberals who claimed that this time, a government program would save us all money) surprised? $50 Billion when the rest of the family is included. And Medicare and Medicaid will drive costs even higher. It’s now quite a bit more than doing nothing.

On the corruption side of things, the HHS is still busy sending out waivers to every union organization out there, and we now know that massive Democrat sponsoring companies have had huge input into the law – and not even through the usual lobbyist industry.
On the personal liberty side of things, beyond just the commerce clause questions, there are also privacy violations – which the DOJ is taking a fairly ludicrous stance on.

Zombie does some investigative journalism on the slutwalk movement (so you don’t have to!) and points out quite a few philosophical inconsistencies – including one of the main ones I noticed: the message being sent is that shouldn’t judge women based on how they look, and should judge women based on how they look. It’s not so different from many of the other men should be psychic for women themes, really. You can see similar ideological conflict with the gotopless movement (which also has some rather creepy connections).

Note that once again, it’s support of a policy that thinks that a human being, minus some specific political qualifiers, is a negative thing. In fact, the only thing Biden seemed to have an issue with was that it messed up the economics of a social security schemes.
It’s so easy to let human rights travesties slide when you consider humans less valuable than pretty much everything else on the planet that you can find a political cause (such as global warming) to justify as more important.
