Just an aside from my usual politics or science posts: It’s really hard to find aquaculture companies to invest in. I’m a firm believer that well managed, sustainable aquaculture is going to be ever more important to the world as a source of our seafood. With that in mind, I would like to invest in aquaculture companies – but it seems like aquaculture is an industry that still happens largely on a private or family-run scale. While it’s neat to see that aquaculture farmers can still run a business on their own, it does make it hard for an individual like myself to support the industry, other than purchasing their product.
