He’s willing to donate to the Treasury department, on a $1 for $1 basis, if Republican Senators do first. But of course, GOP members aren’t the ones calling for higher taxes – which means he still doesn’t get it, or is trying to slime his way out of things. He’s just as hypocritical and Liberal Fascist as all the rest of the “Patriotic Millionaires” who want taxes raised on the wealthy but won’t donate any of their own money. They only principles they believe in are the ones they can get government to enforce with the barrel of a gun.
Oh, and even if the entire Congress contributed their net worths, and Buffet was willing to match the entirety of it, both Democrats and Republicans, guess what? The $4 Billion we’d pay off only solves half a day of government spending, which means that the problem is still government spending – not revenue – which is what conservatives have been trying to say the whole time.
