Anything that starts by mentioning “peak oil” is pretty much laughable, since peak oil is a manufactured crisis. Even with all the restrictions on drilling, the U.S. is set to become the largest fossil fuel energy producer by the end of the decade – thanks to environmentally friendly fracking – and if we were allowed to drill off most of our shores, in ANWR, or any number of other places we could drastically improve our energy situation and economy far beyond what it currently is today.
