Here’s a couple essays about the morality of Isreal and Hezbollah in the current conflict. The first points out that when fighting an enemy that cares nothing for innocent blood, who’s only desire is to wipe you out even at the expense of himself, unfortunately a certain amount of ruthlessness must be allowed. Ruthlessness in such a conflict may indeed save more lives in the end, as casualties will only ever get higher the longer such a conflict lasts.

The second essay discusses more the outrage the world seems to have with Isreal in the current conflict and some of the moral fallicies that are being made, which when simplified to their essence amount to:

“It’s okay to target civilians if you’re losing”

and

“Hatred carries moral weight”

Both of which are clearly wrong.

Meanwhile, Michelle Malkin points out that Hezbollah has yet again hit U.N. Peacekeepers, for the third or fourth time this conflict. As she cynically says, there’s no outrage, probably because Kofi considers it just another case of friendly fire.
