For the first time since 1977, our foreign oil dependance is dropping. The Department of Energy expects that trend to continue until about 2015, before declining again until 2030. I actually expect that we’ll be surprised even by 2015 at the progress some of our technology has made on this front. Of course, if we were to allow ourselves to drill in most of our oil fields, we could dramatically encourage this trend…
