Albeit, indirectly.

Actually though, that brings up a couple of things I’ve been meaning to blog about for a while:We’re finally seeing global warming brought down to more scientific levels, i.e. debunked in just about every timescale except the one the scientists originally projected of several hundred years, and that debunking is making the religious believers even more overstated, desperate, and ludicrous. We’re also seeing that the environmental activists are getting even more tyrranical against allowing any sort of questioning or debate (hmm, if only we had a popular movie about the subject) about global warming and it’s details, or what to do about it – notice that the Freakonomics author (widely considered an ally by the liberals) suggests the same thing Bjorn Lomborg has been proposing for years. Unfortunately, eco-consciousness, of the silly liberal variety, is still sort of becoming embedded in the public consciousness.

Meanwhile, what is it all about in the political sphere? While the Democrats attempt to remake the energy sector, some things their legislations are certainly about are money, control, rewarding their union interests, and various other corruptions. And it’s blatantly obvious that if they really cared about the environment they should seek to increase our use of all sorts of energy technologies that we know would make us have a lighter environmental footprint – in addition to drastically helping America achieve energy independence. Instead, those are the very technologies that get opposed most vehemently.
