About The Buffett Rule

The White House just openly admitted that not only will it not do anything for the debt, but it “was never our plan to bring the deficit down and get the debt under control”. Instead, it’s about “fairness” – wealth envy, class warfare, and distracting people from the sheer amount of your money that Democrats are spending. Taxes aren’t even discussed in terms of paying for government – which makes the Buffett Rule absolutely ludicrous – but solely in terms of redistributing wealth.

Once upon a time, Americans considered envy a sin – but no longer. Democrats now call for public lists of anyone wealthy who doesn’t contribute to charity – despite the fact that they themselves would top the list, and that the forced confiscation of money by government has nothing to do with charity.

It’s Simple Math, But What’s Good For The Economy Has Nothing To Do With Democrat’s Fiscal Policy

Obama’s tax plan would increase progressivity and decrease economic growth. And our companies (such as Microsoft) would continue to move jobs offshore.

Just like with Universal Health Care, the Democrats’ position is all about increasing political control, regardless of the consequences that every ounce of evidence says would be bad. And with taxes, the reason so much of the population goes along with them is jealousy, pure and simple. Our tax code may not be the only political reason behind our economy’s dire state, but it’s definitely a major factor.
